Calvary Youth meet each Sunday morning of the year. We start Sunday School Fellowship at 9:30am and wrap up at 10:30. After a short time of fellowship and donuts, we have two different Sunday School classes; one for middle school (7th & 8th graders) and one for high school (9th-12th grade).

Annual activities

Mid Winter Retreat

The youth head to Latham Springs Camp every President's Day weekend in January. We partner with Dayspring Baptist Church, Lakeshore Baptist Church, First Baptist Waco, and Seventh and James Baptist Church to make MidWinter Retreat a time of fellowship and in-depth study of God's word and God's plan for us.

Passport Camp

Our youth group heads to Passport camp every summer in either June or early July. We've already attended camp for 2023, but will soon be sharing save the dates for camp in 2024! If you're interested in camp,, email Ali, and check out Passport's website: www.passportcamps.org.

Summer Activities

There always countless ways that our youth serve our church during the summer (Children's Bible Club, etc.).

We also do FUN things together during the summer that we might not always have time to do during the school year. Some of those activities include traveling to trampoline parks, going to see the Texas Rangers play, or even just hanging out in Waco and getting frozen yogurt together.

We also use the summer as a time of SERVICE! As part of Calvary's mission - we strive to be involved in the city we live in and invest as much as we can in the wellbeing of others!

This summer, we'll be having four service days where we serve at a Community Food Pantry. We will meet AT the food pantry at 8:40 to receive instructions, etc. and then work together from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Contact Ali for the address of where to meet! These opportunities will be on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, June 27th
  • Tuesday, July 11th
  • Tuesday, July 27th
  • Tuesday, August 8th

Aloha Weekend

"Aloha" Weekend is Calvary Youth's chance to celebrate both the "hello" and "goodbye" that each new school year brings.

Taking place in mid-August, just before school begins, this welcoming of the new 7th graders and saying "see ya later" to our Seniors takes place the Friday and Saturday leading up to promotion Sunday in our Sunday School classes.

This is a great chance for the youth to welcome a new group of students, to get to know them, and to introduce them to our youth group family.
